Philosophy of Education

Philosophy of Education

My classroom management will develop a comprehensive plan for rules, procedures, and discipline to encompass preventive, supportive, and corrective measures that will be used in my classroom. The methods I choose will instill my expectations for my class based upon my students’ needs and not their desires. My expectations will be communicated to students and parents from the very beginning.

The ultimate goal of my personal philosophy of my classroom includes providing a positive classroom environment where all students can learn.  Respect, self-control, cooperation and individual responsibility are stressed as important factors for future academic success.  Students will be given clear expectations for behavior at the beginning of each classroom activity.  Specific guidelines and procedures will prevent opportunities for misbehavior.  If misbehavior does occur, consistent and quick consequences are administered.  I will be organized and have interactive learner-centered environment where my students will feel valued.

I will conduct my class as a professional role model should. I will implement reasonable procedures for everyday usage in the classroom. I believe that procedures are a vital part of the everyday classroom for several reasons because they create and model organizational, responsibility, and self control skills for the students that will benefit from throughout life.

The management of my classroom will incorporate different factors to ensure success for my students. I will consistently monitor and adapt changes where necessary. I will accomplish this by reflecting daily. I will openly and readily accept all challenges and react accordingly.  I will accept constructive criticism and make changes where needed.

Most importantly my classroom philosophy will help with self motivation, creativity, and pride!
