The Effective Teacher

An effective teacher must be composite of several different aspects. The effective teacher must be knowledgeable in the content being taught. While teaching the content, the effective teacher must be flexible in trying different strategies. The teacher realizes that one strategy may not work the same for all students. The effective teacher has to be a learner and always seeking more knowledge. He or she knows that the more knowledge attained gives he or she the ability to have an arsenal of techniques to help students succeed. Being able to influence and motivate students makes an effective teacher. A teacher must be able to reach the students if they are not responding accordingly.  Teaching methods and objectives of an effective teacher are measurable.

The classroom environment of an effective teacher will consists of a rich literature environment and groups of social community learners.

            An effective teacher allows her students to see him or her as a human being. They know that the teacher sometimes makes mistakes and correct those mistakes without dire repercussions. The effective teacher has attainable standards and expectations fitted to the students’ abilities.

            The effective teacher is an innovator who is motivated. This teacher challenges the students thinking and encourages the students to find enjoyment in learning. The effective teacher incorporates ideas from parents, students, and other teachers to ensure the students are in a well rounded environment.
